SW520 Ball Switch
Description:
- The SW-520 Ball Switch is an electrical component that functions as a tilt or vibration sensor.
- It detects orientation or motion changes, making it useful in a variety of applications.
- Material: The switch is enclosed in PE (Polyethylene) heat shrinkable tubing for insulation and protection.
- Inside, there is a gold-plated ball made of stainless steel with brass contacts.
- Electrical characteristics:
- Contact rating: 12 volts.
- Contact Resistance: Less than 10 Ohms.
- Insulation Resistance: Over 10 million ohms.
- The SW-520 activates when tilted beyond a certain angle, usually between 30 and 90 degrees. It also detects vibrations. When tilted or vibrated, the ball within moves and contacts the terminals, completing the circuit.
- This switch is utilized in digital photo frames, cameras, automobiles, household appliances, and toys. It can also be utilized in alarm systems and other devices that need tilt or vibration sensing.
- Durability: The switch is intended to be airtight, waterproof, and dustproof, with a lifespan of up to 100,000 cycles.
