Description:

The KA7812 is a fixed positive linear voltage regulator with three terminals.
When correctly heat-sunk, it produces a steady 12 V DC output with a maximum load current of 1 A.
Its user-friendly design, internal current limitation, thermal shutdown, and safe operating area protection make it almost indestructible and extremely dependable under typical working circumstances.
It can be modified with external components to deliver adjustable voltages and currents, despite its primary use as a fixed regulator.
